From the album 'Ride The Lightning'
Tabbed by: Frank Podmore

Tuning: Standard (low to high EADGBe)

Guitar 1: James Hetfield, Distorted Electric
Guitar 2: Kirk Hammett, Distorted Electric

Legend: p.m.= Palm Mute. Each '.' under the tab means you should mute that note.

OK, this is my edited tab which contains the stuff I got wrong and posted
corrections of in the comment box previously. This is nice and easy, for a
Metallica song, so if you're a beginner this is a great one to learn. Have
a good time playing it.

When playing live, James and Kirk both play Guitar 2's bit of Part 1, then James
to Guitar 1's bit for Part 2. Get a video of them playing it live and you'll understand what I mean.

Both Guitars play Guitar 1's part of Verse/Lead Interlude as before.
Chorus.

Outro: (This part isn't in proper bar spacing because it's 1:48 a.m. and I'm tired.)
Guitar 1 x as many as you like
e|-------------------------|
B|o-----------------------o|When playing live, James often plays this part
G|-------------------------|one octave higher, at the seventh, nineth and
D|---2--4-4--2--4-4--5-5---|tenth frets respectively, on the A string.
A|o--2--4-4--2--4-4--5-5--o|

 |Guitar 2 |
e|-------------------------|After doing this once or twice, Kirk generally
B|o-----------------------o|just goes a bit crazy, playing in the E minor
